Juicing & Smoothie Books

I love books. A dear friend of mine once said that I have more books than a lawyer. I took it as a compliment. When I began this venture of making smoothies and juices I wanted to get a few books to help me out. Yes, it was another excuse to get more books. A way to help keep costs down is to look on Amazon for free ebooks for your Kindle reader. If you look, just use the search terms: juicing or smoothie and sort by price. While getting free ebooks for the Kindle reader is all good, I do seem to find that I like a book with pages that I can flip through, hold, write in, etc.

I wanted to share what’s on my kitchen bookshelf. Most of my old cookbooks have been listed on eBay to make room for books about juicing, smoothies, and healthy cooking. The only other recipe books are my Mother’s cookbooks.
I have sat in Barnes & Noble surrounded by many books to decide which would come home. Some have really nice photography but were light on information that I wanted. There are some smoothie books that I had to re-shelve because I kept seeing “tofu” as an ingredient. Soy and I are not friends. There’s a book that has been eluding me for a while. I watched a Vitamix demonstration at Whole Foods and the demonstrator had a couple of books with her. I wanted one of the books, even scanned it in to my Amazon app on my phone. I did not add it to my wishlist. I thought the book would still show up, but after so many scans the information is gone. All I know is it was published in early 2013 by a woman. I have combed through Amazon online to see if I could find it. I even checked with the service desk at Whole Foods to see if I could get in contact with the demonstrator. All roads led to nowhere. I drive my daughter crazy when we stop at the bookstore because I still try to find that book. If I want to remember a book now, I take a picture of the front and back cover.
Some of my books have come from library book sales, rummage sales, and yard sales.

Here are some of the books I have on my bookshelf. The links are affiliate links to Amazon where if you purchase I get a small commission and the price is the same whether you purchase it through my link or not.

Hurray on finishing the 31 days of writing.

I always dreamed of having a room devoted to books: floor to ceiling book shelves.

The book by Joe Cross was the first juicing book I read.

I make some blender meals but have to be careful of ingesting too much sugar even from fruits because of having diabetes.

Thanks for giving us a list of smoothie/juicing books that you find helpful. I will have fun checking them out!!
